Tony Cottee – Patron
Former West Ham United legend – Tony Cottee – is a patron of the unity-in-community charitable efforts. Tony says: “I love what the guys at Atlantic Pacific do, they make sure they give back and heavily involve themselves with at least one great cause every year. When they decided to formalise their charitable efforts under the ‘unity-in-community’ banner, I was delighted to get involved. I look forward to my patron role and helping to support them promote some great causes”.
Tony played 335 times for West Ham, during two spells, and scored 146 goals for the Hammers between 1982 and 1996. He was capped 7 times by England and also played in the top flight for Everton and Leicester City.
Chrissy Nichols – Executive Chairwoman
Chrissy has been involved in the shipping industry since 1975 and doing charitable work and volunteering since 1984. Chrissy is a founder, owner and director of Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics and Chairwomen of Unity In Community.
She is also currently the Vice-Chairwomen of the London Freight Club, and will in the club’s 70th Anniversary year become its first Chairwomen. Chrissy’s present projects include the London Freight Club’s British Red Cross for Ukraine Appeal and ‘Herd In The City’ for Havens Hospices.

Sponsors & Logistics Partners for the Herd In The City Event – Summer 2023
Atlantic Pacific Group are going to be the Logistics Partner and Sponsor of ‘Herd in the City’ for Havens Hospices in 2023.
There will be up-to 50 large elephant sculptures displayed throughout the City of Southend, along with over 70 baby elephants that will be created by schools and community groups throughout South-East Essex.
This follows on from our involvement with Havens Hospices in their successful 2021 event ‘Hares About Town’ which raised over half a million pounds for the Hospice.

The Little Red Tuk-Tuk
Since we adopted and painted the little red tuk-tuk in 2021, it has become synonymous with our attendenance at many fund raising events in and around Essex. It even has its own facebook page.

The London Freight Club (LFC)
The London Freight Club (LFC) was formed in 1953 and has been organising events with guest speakers for its members since its inception. The lunches have always raised money for charitable causes and over the years have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Director of Atlantic Pacific and Chairwomen of Unity in Community – Chrissy Nichols – was elected Vice Chairwomen of the LFC (a first for a women) in February 2022. Therefore, we have been working closely with the organisation on charitable causes, which includes the current Ukraine Appeal.

Hares About Town
Hares About Town was a spectacular ‘Wild-In-Art’ public event that weaved its way across Southend on Sea raising over £500,000 with support from us.


Gratitude
Gratitude was a spectacular outdoor national public art installation which celebrated the stories of the extraordinary early months of covid-19, rasing over £200,000.


Leigh Folk Festival
A three day festival of music and arts in September 2021, held within the walls of the picturesque Leigh Library gardens and raising funds for Leigh Folk Arts.


Global Village Festival
Hosted by Essex Cultrual Diversity Project at Hadleigh Country Park, the event include interactive workshops, demonstrations and a wide range of artists.


Rickshaw Challenge
Atlantic Pacific’s Nicole Borg took on the Rickshaw Challenge – She braved the challenge of driving across the barren Rajasthan desert, in India, over 4 days.


Village Green Festival
Village Green is a multi-art form and music festival, produced by Metal Culture in the picturesque grounds of a beautiful Victorian park in Chalkwell, Essex.
