Herd In The City Sneak Peak

We thought you might like to have a sneak preview of Rock’n’Glow – artist Neil Fendell’s elephant for the upcoming ‘Herd in the City’ event in support of Havens Hospices.

Herd In The City is a public art trail taking place around Southend in summer 2023, for which Atlantic Pacific are ‘sponsors and logistics partners’.

The below picture was taken just prior to the Art Selection evening with Christine Nichols and Tony Cottee from Atlantic Pacific Group’s ‘Unity In Community’.

Rock ‘n’ Glow, decorated with acrylic pens and spray paints, depicts an evening scene of Southend-on-Sea’s iconic seafront.

Neil says, “Southend is very much about the lights, atmosphere and the evening vibe. That’s why I wanted to try and recreate it on the elephant, something that would really celebrate Southend becoming a city”.

In 2021 Neil’s ‘Hare-y Biker’ was sponsored by Atlantic Pacific Group, during the ‘Hares About Town’ event, and it’s great to see him back for 2023 with the fantastic Rock ‘n’ Glow.

Our new artist and design for next summer has been chosen, but must remain a secret for the time being. We are really excited and can’t wait to share more details with you in the new year.
